Marrakech Vacation Guide

Marrakech Climate

Marrakech’s yearly average temperature is 68°F (20°C), and the city has a semi-arid climate, thus you will seldom feel chilly in this region of Morocco.

Marrakech in summer

The warmest months in Marrakech are July and August, with an average high of 98°F (36.6°C) and an average low of 68°F (20°C). The record high is more than 120°F (49°C), so if you visit Marrakech during the summer, expect to be hot.

It almost never rains during this season. However, there are occasional sandstorms.

Marrakech in winter

The average temperature in the winter (December to February) is 55.4°F (13°C), with minimums of 42.6°F (6°C). When the sun shines, you may tour the city with a t-shirt or a light jumper; however, temps drop dramatically at night, so bring a jacket. Marrakech has generally damp winters, so pack an umbrella just in case.

Marrakech in spring and autumn

The finest months to visit Marrakech, in our view, are March, April, October, and November. During the day, you will most likely be hot, but seeing the city is not unpleasant. At night, the weather is really pleasant.
