Ourika Valley In Marrakech
Outside of Marrakech, the Ourika Valley is a prominent and frequented region.
The Ourika Valley is a popular destination for day tours departing from Marrakech. Located at the base of the majestic High Atlas Mountains, this journey follows the Ourika River. A Moroccan landscape that is unparalleled.
Ourika Valley Attractions

Here are some of the top local attractions:
The Ourika Valley waterfalls are most often visited by tourists who begin their journey at the little settlement of Setti-Fatma. In the little town, you may easily locate a guide who speaks English.
If you like rural areas and outdoor activities, you will adore the Ourika Valley Waterfalls. While the first waterfall isn’t too difficult to reach, the next six will need sturdy footwear and the ability to climb. The Ourika River is a great place to swim on hot days, but you should know that water becomes rather chilly.
In principle, this tour should provide guests an opportunity to view a typical Amazigh family home and learn about the traditional Amazigh way of life. When you get there, however, you’ll realize that it’s all just a tourist trap, just like so many others. In most families, the patriarch will offer you mint tea as a welcome drink, and then attempt to sell you some local wares as you leave.
The Ourika Market is on Mondays and the Aghbalou Market is on Thursdays; these are the two most frequented traditional marketplaces in the region. If you reach the area via the mountains, you may also stop by the Tahanaout markets on Tuesdays and the Asni bazaars on Saturdays, all of which are worth a visit.
